Easy Evening Walk: Cochno Hill and Greenside Reservoir

Details
This is a nice evening walk from Cochno carpark past Grey Mare's Tail waterfall. On the way to the waterfall we will visit the secret and well hidden graveyard and from the waterfall the walk includes a trip to the WW2 observation sunken bunker, Jaw Reservoir and Cochno Loch followed by a walk up Cochno Hill either by walking over the rolling hills or by the waterfront and onto the island, finally coming off the hill to Greenside Reservoir and returning via the cinder path to the start point.
The walk takes approx two and half hours and a clear night will give spectacular views over Glasgow and the Clyde of course depending on weather.
Some parts of the path can be quite muddy so boots are recommended as are waterproofs in case it rains.
Grade : Easy (see here for explanation (https://www.meetup.com/scottish-hillwalkers/pages/Walking_Grades))
Estimated time - 2 and a half hours
When you rsvp, please note if you are able to offer a lift (and where from) or if you need one. It will then be up to you to arrange lifts. There will be no Glasgow rendevous due to the timing of this walk - the start time is the time we'll be at the meetup point, which is the Cochno Farm carpark.
Although this is an easy walk, we would still recommend that you wear boots which support your ankles and also something to drink and waterproof in case of rain.
If the weather is bad, we may decide to cancel the walk. If so, we'll send you an email the day before.
Anything else you need to know, please email or contact me Bert on 0781 801 9836
See you there.
