Knitting the knit stitch since I was a kid but just learned how to purl in 2009! Since learning a 2nd stitch, I'm addicted!
Hats, scarves, shawls, bags and headbands. Most have been given away. I've knitted 1 bolero but haven't started with other items yet. Socks and mitts/gloves are next on my list!
My late paternal grandmother taught me how to knit. I could only do 1 stitch - knit. Then in 2009, a friend of mine wanted to learn how to knit. At the time, Yarndogs would do a private class for 2+ people but she couldn't find anyone to attend class with her. I felt bad that she wasn't able to learn how to knit so I paid to go with her. Of course, the instructor could tell right away that I had no trouble knitting, so she asked me if I knew how to purl. I was like, "What's purl?" And that was the beginning to the ever growing stash of yarns, needles and UFOs!

I'm a Kansas transplant with a love for creating colorful, knitted items.
Very friendly group! I'm so glad I can join them once a month to hang out (and, of course, do some knitting)!
