I initially learned to knit in the early '80's but rediscovered it in early 2005. In addition, I used to crochet (granny squares were my thing in the 70's).
I began with scarves and moved on to hats after taking Marie's hat class at Knitting Arts. Socks, fingerless gloves, simple lace projects, and felted bags are my current projects. I love knitting in the round!
I took a knitting class at Continental Stitch in Morgan Hill about 20 years ago. I learned to knit a beautiful grey alpaca wool vest. Unfortunately I stopped soon after that time & re-learned in early 2005 when my daughter wanted a knit hat.

My husband, daughter, and I live in San Jose and I work part-time. Although I have been knitting for about 1 1/2 years, it has taken the place of many of my other crafty hobbies including sewing and counted cross-stitch.
A wonderful group of women (and at least one man) coming together to knit. There are a wide range of knitting skills and projects between the attendees. Everyone was helpful with advice and showing their projects.
