I had knit a glove-puppet and a teddy bear while in my sixth grade - learnt it from my favorite aunt. Only last year did I resume, after nearly a decade and a half and found myself diving headlong into it! The dive is on - unabated - ever since.
Anything that spells 'challenge' really! I stay away from knitting scarves/shawls/afghans and the likes. About 4 months into resumed knitting, I've knit a headband with cables, i-cord gloves, a winter cap, 3 tank tops and a vest.
I'd learnt the very basics from my aunt but when I returned to knit last year, my biggest reference was www.knittinghelp.com. And ofcourse many books for patterns.

I am a network software engineer and since Dec 05, claiming to be 'knitwork' engineer as well!
Nice! I enjoy the casual and friendly environment, the free flow of conversation or even the occassional patches of silence where everyone is busy with their craft. It amazes me how much folks go out of their way (and readily) to help and inspire!
