Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 and 4e; Vampire the Requiem and Masquerade; Demon the Fallen; Mage the Awakening; Exalted (very briefly)
I only got into gaming during college, but only because I didn't have the opportunity earlier--or I'd be a much more veteran player! As it is, I've only been playing for about five years, and I'm still a bit of a newbie.
I had a brief brush with DnD in high school, but my first real game was with a system called Big Eyes Small Mouth (BESM), which I suppose made fun of anime stereotypes. I had loads of fun with new friends and even managed to pick up on tiny story details that the GM mixed in for us that the other veteran players didn't.
I have a little trouble coming up with character actions on the fly, so I'm more often to be found in written RPs online, but there's nothing that compares to sitting down with a bunch of friends and a great DM and going on a grand adventure.
I've been in groups before that had a few dramatic issues between players. I like leaving drama outside the ring, and for everyone to get along--but I know that sometimes things just happen. I suppose my only REALLY strong feelings would be about drug involvement. I don't judge those who use it--I just don't want anyone's good time inflicted on me.
Hey, I'm new to San Diego, and looking for friends and fellow gamers! This is one of the most helpful sites I've found yet, and I'm very interested in meeting those involved!
Great organization. I just wish more of it happened a little closer to home.
