What RPG games have you enjoyed?

I've played a lot of D&D (2.0 and up), GURPS and various homebrew systems primarily - but the World of Darkness system is the one I have delved deepest into; primarily with Vampire: the Masquerade, but also Werewolf, Mage, Changeling, Wraith and others.

How long have you been playing RPG games?

25 years. :)

Tell us about your first RPG memories...

The earliest RP memory I have was a game my dad was running - I believe at GenCon. I was just a little guy then, and I wanted to play so bad... so my dad gave me an NPC - he let me be the baby dragon... So the adventurers are walking down the hallway - and suddenly they see this 9-foot neck and a huge red dragon's head appear from the darkness - and my 1-liner is "Shhhh... don't wake daddy..." :) Good times were had by all. And they were very careful to let daddy keep sleeping. ;)

What are your thoughts on GMing games?

I have found that I get a lot of joy out of playing -or- GMing - but GMing has become my greater passion. I think it's the challenge of creating so much out of nothing, playing multiple characters simultaneously and constantly coming up with ways to both engage and challenge the players. It's definitely a passion of mine.

Do you have any "Strong Opinions" regarding gaming?

Play in the kind of games you enjoy. If you're a hack-n-slasher, play hack-n-slash games. If you like RP - play social games. If you love puzzle-solving, make sure you have a GM that can create interesting puzzles. For me - the joy of gaming is 1) social interaction, 2) mysteries/puzzles, 3) epic storylines - in that order. So - if you come to play in one of my games, now you know what you're in for. ;)

I've been playing RPG games literally since I was 5 - when my dad used to run a weekly game at our house. In the past 25 years, I've played in and run hundreds of games, and have over 15 years of experience as a GM :) Looking for more players now!
