Frank will share with us his experiences and insights on what goes into the creation of an app. His latest app (Dexteria Dots (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dexteria-dots-get-in-touch/id815345306)) is a fun, intuitive math game that teaches the concepts of number sense, addition, subtraction, larger-than and smaller-than - all in a way that is accessible to kids ages 2 to 8.
From the beginning, Frank has worked with SDiOS charter members Carson Whitsett and Adam Harris (Ditty Labs (http://dittylabs.com/)) to develop native code for his iOS apps. Frank also engages his employees and other contractors in the development process. For Dexteria Dots, six of our SDiOS members were involved in bringing this app to life. So this is an exemplary fulfillment of the SDiOS mission to bring artists and developers together to create and promote great apps!

Frank was one of our very early presenters (SDiOS #9 June 2011). At that meeting he shared with us the development process behind his first iOS app (Dexteria (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dexteria-fine-motor-skill/id420464455)). Since then the Dexteria brand has expanded into a diverse family of apps serving special education needs in innovative and engaging ways. BinaryLabs was a successful producer of educational software long before venturing into iOS apps. BinaryLabs continues to produce general education software on contract, and now is a leading publisher of award-winning apps for special education.
Our educational and professional/social networking meetings follow our ICAM theme (Ideas, Coding, Art and Marketing). Artists and developers alike will find something of interest - with their various experiences and perspectives contributing to the enrichment of our group.
Come early - bring your friends - get involved - and have fun sharing and learning about the exciting and potentially rewarding world of iOS app development.
Whether you are a professional, hobbyist, beginner or just curious - all are welcome at SDiOS!
