The Book of Hebrews is a "better" book. "Better" is a key word in this thirteen chapter book. This book is classed with Romans and Revelation as one of the three most profound books of the New Testament. The penman of the book is unknown though the author of the book is God. The theme of Hebrews is: "encouragement to faithfulness." Everyone gets discouraged; this book affords the encouragement that we all need. Christianity is shown in this book to be superior to all other religions. Christ is shown to be superior to Moses, the prophets, and to angels. The law of Christ is shown to be superior to the law of Moses. By showing the superiority of Christ over all things and the superiority of Christianity over Judaism, it encourages Christians to continue to live by obedient faith. This is a great time to begin a regular study of God's Word with Christians who love the Lord and His Word. All you need is a Bible and an open heart with a willingness to learn together from the inspired Word of God. This class will be led by Lester Kamp who has preached and taught the Bible for several decades, but the class will open to your comments and questions as we all learn together. Chapter one contains many references to angels and their work.
