Hi all,

I'm helping to run a 3 day event on June 10th - 12th in Seattle for Startup Weekend. Have you heard of Startup weekend? Startup Weekend is a nonprofit organization that promotes entrepreneurship in local communities. It has been mentioned in Forbes as one of the "Names You Need to Know in 2011" and was
on the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine.

On June 10-12, Startup weekend is holding an event at Amazon 535 Terry Ave North, Seattle, WA 98109 (South Lake Union Area).

This a 54 hour event that brings together entrepreneurs, developers, designers and marketers for a hands on crash course in product development and start up lifestyle. You get to pitch an idea, corral a team of people to join you, and see your product come to life at the end of the event. It's a great opportunity to network, meet thought leaders and mentors, start a business, and design an awesome product.

If you are interested in participating, please

There is a $75 cost for the ticket for Early Bird sign up, but this includes food/space/etc! If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail myself ( and

Examples of great Apps from SW events:

• Sparkrelief, founded at Startup Weekend Denver in 2010, is a startup focused on providing aid during disasters. The organizations mission is to “empower communities and organizations to quickly share accurate information and provide relief during a disaster”. The company created a page specifically to support victims of the natural and nuclear disasters in Japan. Using the simple interface, it is easy to see what help is needed, figure out how you can help, and make a difference right away.
