What we’re about
The SSSE is a jovial bunch of scientific skeptics and science enthusiasts who gather together at least once a month. Our usual meeting is a banquet, featuring a guest speaker, on the third Tuesday of every month at Razzi's Pizzeria in Phinney Ridge, Seattle. We have a wide variety of topic-driven talks about science, pseudoscience, critical thinking, public affairs, history,- or maybe we'll invite a controversial speaker to challenge our assumptions. Month to month, we try to keep science interesting, relevant and fun! We also occasionally plan other events, BBQ/potlucks, lectures, films, and the like on an occasional basis
While all are welcome, this meetup was created for those who require a higher bar of evidence than gut feelings or belief. We're not contrarians or cynics- we just want to see the evidence.
