Clarification concerning Hiking Skills

I just sent out an email about Hiking Skills. In the email I sent you, I mentioned if you're hiking slower than I am you may be on the wrong hike. I need to clarify that I am the slowest hiker in the group...maybe of Meetup!!! I have never led a hike in my life. I always say I'm the organizer and not the leader. I do my best to accomodate any hiker who wants to hike with us but at the same time I don't really want to compromise the time our members take off from other life duties to have to wait for others to finish a hike. Especially those who carpool. Carpooling may seem like a good thing but I've found it very difficult especially when members are jumping from one driver to another, or a driver not showing up to pick up the members he/she said they would. That's a bummer!!!

I guess when it comes right down to it; we need to use common sense when it comes to our abilities. Of course being the slowest eat whenever I want diddle daddle play around have fun take as many photos that I can type of hiker...I don't really have to wait for others all that much. But it is why you'll hardly ever see me carpool!!!

Have a great evening
