First meetup of 2014 - Let's share our experience

Hi All

**** UPDATE ****

[Sorry about the delay - SkillsMatter has created event on their end and it would help if you can register on their site as well - https://skillsmatter.com/groups/140-the-london-selenium-meetup

This will help them in organising this event. Also, there are many people in the waiting list so it would be great if you can check your calendars and update your RSVP in case you can not make it. Thanks for your help]

**** UPDATE FINISHED ****

We have confirmed list of speakers / topics now and this is how schedule looks like at the moment -

6:00 - 6:15 PM - Welcome / Registration

6:15 - 6:40 - Mark Collin

Title: What did you just download...

We have all been asked to create file download tests at some point, but are they really testing what you think they are testing?  Did you download what you expected to download or something else…

6:45 - 7:10 - Balaji Raviraman

Title - What is Headless Automation? Why? Tools? Benefits?

Automated regression testing for a web application typically relies on automating a browser to verify that your application is working as expected. The main gripe with browser automation is that it’s slow and everyone’s impatient with slow tests. Thats where PhantomJS Comes in picture

7:15 - 7:40 - Hasanein Khafaji and David Moloney

Title : Building a customised Selenium-Based testing framework

Will share background of the project he is working on, what they wanted to achieve with the framework and some key features of the framework. He will share learning, challenges and direction this framework is heading into..

After this talk, we will open-up stage for lightning talks till 8:00 PM.

Sounds good? Hope to see you all soon.

Regards,

Anand Ramdeo.
