Tales From the Selenium Testing Trenches

Details

Hi everyone! Please join us for our next meetup on February 28. We'll hear from two great speakers, Dr. Wenhua Wang of Marin Software (http://www.marinsoftware.com/) and Giri Nandigam of TRUSTe (http://www.truste.com/), as they share two different Selenium-related experiences at their respective companies.

As usual, we'll have food at 6:30 (hopefully on time!), followed by announcements & the talks at 7pm. Thanks to our friends at Lookout (http://lookout.com) for once again opening up their space to us. See you there!

Selenium @ TRUSTe

Best Practices for Testing on IE

Marin Software has invested automation testing for five years. They have a significant number of legacy automation tests running every night. Those tests were implemented with Selenium and XPath. To reuse those tests IE (Cross browser testing), they explored techniques to rejuvenate their existing automation tests.

In this meetup, Dr. Wenhua Wang will discuss the techniques (at code level and library level) they have explored to run their automation tests in IE. His presentation will cover the real problems they encountered, when they rejuvenated their automation tests, and explain how they addressed those problems. Finally, Dr. Wang will summarize the best practices that benefit future automation testing work, based on the practical experiences.
