Wow, it seems like FOREVER since we last had a meetup. Because of this (and the fact that this next event is sure to be awesome), I'm super excited to announce our next meetup, Move Fast, Break Things, Test Them: Selenium @ Facebook, is happening on Wednesday, June 20th at - you guessed it - Facebook.

Join us as Software Engineer Damien Sereni gives an inside look at how Facebook uses WebDriver to test changes to its massively popular website and mobile apps, and how crucial the tool is to their development release cycles. This is sure to be a popular event so make sure to register early!

ABSTRACT
How do you push changes to 900 million users every day? Facebook's fast-paced development and release process is a unique challenge for our testing tools and infrastructure. Webdriver is crucial to making sure we can release changes to Facebook and all the associated mobile apps at an aggressive pace while keeping quality up. In this talk we'll take you behind the scenes of how Webdriver is deployed and used at Facebook to test both our main site and mobile apps, how we make it scale to our size and pace, and what new challenges we'll need to solve in future.

Damien Sereni is a software engineer in the test engineering group at Facebook. He owns the company's Webdriver deployment, and is now focused on building the test infrastructure the company will need as development increasingly focuses on mobile platforms.
