Kirrily Robert of Freebase

Kirrily Robert of Google will be talking about how to use Freebase and Refine. Freebase is an open, Creative Commons licensed repository of structured data of almost 20 million entities. Each entity is available in a variety of formats including RDF, and is linked to from Linked Data sources like dbpedia and the New York Times. Refine is an opensource desktop application for massaging data and reconciling it with entities in Freebase.

Awesome presentation about how Freebase is bridging the web2.0 and linked data / semweb worlds. Really interesting to hear that Metaweb's graphd is getting implemented on top of Google's infrastructure.

I've updated the RSVP maximum to reflect this. If anyone who RSVP'd Yes is not able to make the Meetup, please change your response to No so that a waitlisted member can attend. Thanks!

Good news! We can fit more than 25 people. We've rearranged our conference room and can fit 35.

We're looking forward to hosting this meetup at the Sunlight Foundation. The front door to the building is locked after business hours, but we'll have someone at the door to let you in from around 6:45 to 7:15. We'll also put a phone # on the door just in case you are running late.
