The San Francisco Electronic Music Monthly Meetup - Doc Pop performance

This month we bring you amazing singer and local artist Doctor Popular. When he's not making art or weaving a yo-yo, he's writing music on his Gameboy, iPad, or iPhone. Doc Pop has played his laptop-less electronic jams in BART stations, clubs, and video game expos across the US and has collaborated with MC Frontalot, ytCracker, and Crashfaster.

Come hear him perform a special set for us and get a chance to Q&A with him.

His bio:

Doctor Popular is an electronic musician who has been restricting himself to laptop-free production for the past 5 years. His last album, Bleeps and Smudges, was one of the first albums to be created entirely with an iPhone and iPad apps. Doc is currently working on his next album, produced with Gameboys and circuit bent toys, and performing his unique electronic pop music throughout the Bay Area.

Excellent as always, Doc Pop is a master. Fun to listen to and it was great to hear how he puts his sound together.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
