In this talk Jason Cook will be covering the challenges and choices we've made at Wikia to scale our backend data stores. How we went from a few hundred databases on a master/slave pair to over 150,000 spread over dozen's of MySQL servers in multiple data centers. I will also cover our migration to ssds and use of NoSQL style data stores.
