Overview:

If you want to access MySQL database the most efficient way you need to understand how MySQL works with indexes. The first step is to learn what is an index, how MySQL stores data in the indexes and how it can access the data.
We will review most typical use-cases when a client can benefit from an index. Each use-case we will illustrate with examples so you can quickly build high-performance applications.

Bio:
Aleksandr Kuzminsky is a MySQL SRE at Dropbox and founder of TwinDB - online backups for MySQL.
He used to work as a consultant and the data recovery expert at Percona.

Ovais is a MySQL architect, performance engineer, Chef consultant and an open source advocate. Ovais currently works at Lithium Technologies as a Lead MySQL DBA and Automation Engineer.
