Be sure to come on out to Stern Grove and enjoy an afternoon with fantastic dogs and amazing people. Also, exciting vendors will be at the meetup! Come look at the great items from laser etchings on dog tags and business card cases and more! And we are excited about the brand new FALL fashion line from Mijo & Bambi! Christine will be at the meetup with the new styles! And down by the lake, there is another event going on from noon until 4pm. It is Wine and Howl which sounds like a lot of fun and the proceeds benefit Grateful Dogs Rescue. For more details, please click
HERE. DIRECTIONS The entrance to the dog park is located off of Sloat Boulevard just west of 19th Avenue. Drive west on Sloat and turn right on Vale. Drive one block and cross Crestview where you will see the gate to the dog park. Drive down the steep hill and voila, there is the large parking lot. Use Google or Yahoo Maps for the best directions! It is not always easy to find if you are new to the print up directions.

The Chihuahua meeting was fine for doggy socialization, which my 4-yr-old pound rescue Gonzo badly needs. Different Chihuahuas ran the gamut from dead shy to nasty, yet the Chihuahua group was all working out well. Even the Miniature Pinscher fit it. Then some idiot brought his Rotter right in among the small dogs. Even if the Rotter behaved, one big dog upsets the social dynamics of the small group. Two, when another fool brought his Pit Bull in, pretty much spoiled our day. We left. I realize that the dog run is public. But why do some big dog owners act like bullies with their dogs? Small penis compensation? Listen up: The size of the dog means nothing about the value of the dog.

SF Chihuahua Meetups are so much fun. The weather was sunny and it's always nice to see a big turn out.

This was great as always! We couldn't ask for better weather... I even got hot at some point! So many adorable dogs and their friendly owners. My dogs loved their puny paws treats too! Big hit! Thanks :D

As always a wonderful time. Ricky is exhausted from all of his singing and running about. So many wonderful people and of course all of the wonderful special chihuahuas.

Sure was nice to see everyone again, haven't been able to get to the Meets for a few months. The weather was great, too. Thanks, Kate, for everything you do to make it so nice for all the chis and humans! Chance really likes his new blue raincoat, btw, but he's not too sure about the bumblebee costume for Halloween :+)

Jody is really getting to know and become friends with several other Chihuahuas. This was our intention from the very beginning and that was about 8 months ago. I like the idea that some vendors and individuals are selling wares too.

I'll be there with my latest foster for A Leg Up Rescue, Ducky. He is a little schoodle (maybe), who was on the lam for 18 months. Sweet, but a bit shy.
