Teacher Tank: Can your company stand the test?

Details

In our first meetup of 2013, we’re taking a deep dive into the edtech entrepreneurial process to find which approaches have seen some measure and success, and which ones need to simmer a little longer (or be thrown out of the kitchen completely!).

There will be a ‘shark tank’ of educators on hand to call it like they see it. No pitches here -- just honest and meaningful dialogue around problem discovery, building and testing hypotheses, and getting the results that matter. We'll be focusing on three points:

Problem discovery Prototyping Feedback and iteration The companies that we'll feed to the sharks are:

Bloomboard (http://www.bloomboard.com/) (PD tools and marketplace) GlassLab (http://www.instituteofplay.org/work/projects/glasslab/) (Game-based learning and assessment) Meograph (http://www.meograph.com/) ("Four-dimensional" storytelling tool) There'll be plenty of lessons and insights about what works in the development process of edtech tools. (And of course, a spectacular failure is just as informative!) Hope to see you there for a merry night of learning and schmoozing!

Your loyal EdSurgents,
Tony & Leonard
