11:20-11:50 am, free-form yoga practice

Practice your own individual yoga exercises and routines, share your exercises with others, or follow yoga exercises and routines others are doing. This will be near the general assembly so we’ll be able to see what’s going on without being in the way. Bring extra yoga mats if you can, and also tarps if you like, to make exercising easy and convenient for others who may also like to participate.

12:00 noon, General Assembly

Join in and speak up to promote the aims of the occupy movement and use finesse to also promote the free school in as considerate ways as possible. Remember, we are a service organization, and our goal is to promote others first, and ourselves second.

2:05-2:50 pm, “Solutions to the 99% versus 1% divide”

From 2:05 pm ‘til 2:50 pm, we’ll hold a group discussion and brainstorming session to find possible solutions to the large divide that exists between the have’s and the have not’s, the 1% and the 99%.

Some of the points we will discuss are listed below:

• What do the 1% have and what can they depend on, and what do we the 99% have, and what can we depend on?

• What is social and community wealth, and its value, and how does it compare with wealth measured in dollars and in gold?

• Bartering, skills exchanges and teaching for free – money is not the only, or even the best, way to run a society. There are other ways to prosper.

• Do we really want a bigger piece of their pie, or do we want to bake our own unique pies, and build our own economies?

• Keep your money, we’ll work for free and build a new world without it!

• Building neighborhood communities, and contributing to the common good, that’s good enough for me!

Feel free to add to this list of discussion points and also feel free to bring your own list of topics to discuss and share with the rest of us. We can all be part of the solution and all our voices are equally important and worthy to be heard as long as we are all willing to learn from and listen to each other, acting as both teachers and students, and doing so for the welfare of all.
