WHOmentors.com, Inc., a nonprofit public benefit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and H-1B employer, extends hospitality to foreign visitors and nonimmigrant students, and provides an environment for reflective interaction and social contact between English native speakers and foreign visitors.
Purpose:
1) WHOmentors.com, Inc. will promote international understanding of Japan and the USA through activities, such as events, forums, trainings, and language exchanges, which enable people to develop an appreciation for both societies, their traditions and culture.
2) WHOmentors.com, Inc. will provide international cultural educational experiences abroad in Japan and/or sponsor international cultural events in Japan (e.g., overseas community service trips) that are designed to increase understanding of Japanese language and culture. Unofficial ambassadors of Japan will be invited to participate in similar activities in the USA.
Pursuant to Rev. Rul. 68-489, 1968-2 C.B. 210 (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-tege/rr68-489.pdf
), members are permitted to fund raise to cover expenses associated with educational experiences and volunteer community service trips abroad from the USA to Japan or from Japan to the USA.

NOTE: In accordance with 29 CFR Section 553.106, in the course of their duties, Japanese native speakers on F-1 status who perform as volunteer assistant organizers or One-2-One(TM) Language Assessors may be paid expenses, reasonable benefits, a nominal fee, or any combination thereof, by WHOmentors.com, Inc. for their service without losing their status as volunteers or affecting their F-1 status.
