With Java 8 (http://www.infoq.com/news/2013/08/everything-about-java-8) imminent release (http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/jdk8-dev/2013-April/002336.html), it only makes sense for us to dig into two of its most exciting new features (http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk8/features): lambdas (http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/javaOO/lambdaexpressions.html) and streams (http://download.java.net/jdk8/docs/api/java/util/stream/package-summary.html). Fortunately, Adib Saikali offered to fly from Toronto and help us do exactly that (courtesy of NewCircle (https://thenewcircle.com/training/java/)).

Java 8 ships with loads of new features. This in-depth presentation will get you quickly up to speed with Java 8 Lambda Expressions and the new streams API. Through a series of numerous short examples we will cover what you need to know to get going with Java 8 lambdas and streams.

Please note that Adib's presentation will go for around 2 hours so we expect to finish slightly later than usual.

For those of you who are interested in a hands-on version of this content, check out NewCircle's Fast Track to Java 8 training course (https://thenewcircle.com/training/java/fast_track_to_java_8.html).
