Genotype Specification Language, a compiler for Genetics, written in F#
Details
GSL is a recently released open source compiler that was developed at Amyris for rapidly converting genetic designs into the material and DNA sequences needed for engineering microorganisms. The input language is modeled on the natural language Geneticists use, with some extensions borrowed from software programming languages. The compiler itself is fully implemented in F#, using FSYacc and FSLex, and targets various output formats common in the industry. This talk will assume minimal background in genetics or F# and should be accessible to any bio/functional curious types.
