WHAT'S A LIGHTNING TALK?
Anyone and everyone is encouraged to give a lightning talk. A lightning talk is a time-boxed (5-minute) micro-presentation. It is your chance to tell your fellow developers about something that you'd like them to know or that you think they'll appreciate. The details:
- Cannot be more than 5 minutes (we'll be timing and we'll tell you to sit down if you go over)
- The topic:
a) should be something about which you are passionate.
b) doesn't have to be technical, but, given that we're all geeks, it should at least be geeky.
c) doesn't have to be your expertise. - You will have access to a projector, power and a wi-fi connection. Keep in mind that live demos are tricky to pull off - have a backup plan if your demo fails!
Hey, it's only 5 minutes ... what have you got to lose?
