Hi all,

For Apr, we are indeed privileged to have with us a very experienced linux professional to share with us on embedded linux. The details are below:

Mr Sim Hak Khiang has been in the electronic industry for more than 20 years in the
area of product testing and automation, with the last 10 years in the R&D
(hardware and software ) of Ethernet network related products.

He would like to share his experiences on embedded linux development . Topics
that cover will be :
1) Why use Linux on embedded hardware ?
2) the items to look for in selecting an hardware with embedded linux such
as Software Development tools, basic features ... etc.
3) what basic knowledge/training required before start embedded linux development
4) demo using "A-LinEmb" , a Linux embedded hardware board for network packet generation.

    It served as a good introduction to using Embedded Linux. However, it would be better if we can see some practical and actual applications of Embedded Linux. Nonetheless, I think it was a good talk. Kudos to the speaker, Mr. H K Sim!
