Hell is other people's code - POSTPONED

Details

Due to personal circumstances, our speaker will have to postpone their talk until next month. We'll be heading to the Devonshire Cat (devonshirecat.co.uk (https://t.co/eZje6q8zRY)) for drinks and food from 6.30pm onwards if you'd like to join us.

------

These days there aren't many software projects that aren't build using at least some open source libraries or frameworks but depending on someone else’s open source code isn't always as simple as it appears.

This talk will highlight some of the potential pitfalls and legal loop holes involved in using open source code that you might not have known and how you can successfully navigate them to build a rock solid application by using open source projects effectively.

About our speaker

Andrew Nesbitt is the founder of http://libraries.io , which monitors millions of open source libraries, offering in-depth stats and key information. In 2016, he launched Dependency CI (http://dependencyci.com), to enable project owners to monitor the status, licenses, and security of every dependency in their repository automatically. He's also a big fan of fluffy dogs and rabbits.

About our sponsor
