You've seen recent presentations on how to make virtual machines. But, how do you manage so many machines?

Learn about Fabric.

Have you ever been steward over a handful of machines that need the same task executed repeatably? Did you wish your morphing shell forloop of power could magically be turned into python code to ease your burdens?

Fabric is one technology that can assist in the mundane task of executing programs on remote machines. Come find out if and how it can help you manage your infrastructure.

The presentation is intended for a beginner audience who may or may not have heard of Fabric, but there will be enough time left for open discussion including discussion about similar technologies (pdsh, salt, etc.).

Speaker: Stephen M. McQuay

Stephen McQuay is a Utah native who recently moved to the area. He is a relative newcomer to the python world, but loves wielding it to solve problems.
