A big shout out to Outright! Thanks so much for hosting the event, that was awesome of you. I had a great time and I am excited to become a repeat offender with RailsBridge. Thanks, everyone!

Outright is a perfect host and extremely friendly staffers. I was significantly impressed with the instructors and course materials, which exceed that of most paid courses. This is an exceptional opportunity to learn

    If you haven't yet gone to http://bridgetroll.herokuapp.com/events/39 and registered for the event, please do so. We *need* you to do this in order to place you in classes and find out what people can eat so we can order appropriate food for the weekend. If you aren't registered on Bridge Troll then you make my life and Richa's a lot harder. ;_;

If you have issues with Bridge Troll feel free to let me know via email.

    Hi all,

Some news on parking. It turns out, unfortunately, that the owners of the building we're in do not allow access to the non-public areas of the garage without badges on the weekend.

The city of Sunnyvale website has thoughtfully provided a parking guide (http://sunnyvaledowntown.com/uploads/2/7/4/5/2745336/map_april2010.pdf), and it looks like the best we can do is the 4-hour parking near the Target/Macy's, but it would necessitate people moving their cars at lunch. Apologies for the inconvenience; we'll see if we can find a way around this for the next RB at Outright.

Also, we were just informed that the building is performing emergency maintenance on the water system in the building on Saturday, so we have arranged to use the bathrooms in the neighboring building, 150 Mathilda Place. We'll have people available on workshop day to direct visitors. Again, sorry for the inconvenience, but consider yourself warned. Please contact me with questions.

    Thanks,
    Richa

The issues with Bridge Troll should now all be resolved. If you have a problem please let me know by emailing [masked]

It would be delightful if all RSVPs were in by noon on Thursday! Thanks.

Volunteers! Please go to http://bridgetroll.herokuapp.com/ and click the Volunteer button for the RailsBridge Silicon Valley event http://bridgetroll.herokuapp.com/events/39 Be aware that an SF event is happening this same weekend. There's a survey there instead of a Google docs survey to fill out. If you have any problems, create an issue on https://github.com/railsbridge/bridge_troll/issues or let me know. Thanks and see you soon!

I wasn't trying to break it... But something went wrong. I'm still in! I'll try to register again later.

I just posted the Bridge Troll link for the students so if you haven't yet registered on Bridge Troll, please do so. For those of you who have registered, would you kindly log back in and update your info with any dietary restrictions? I only added it to the survey yesterday.

Thank you all so much for volunteering and we'll see you this weekend!

I am interested in volunteering and was wondering if anyone will be heading in from SF that might have an extra seat available in their car? Please? :)

If no one is planning on driving in from SF on Friday then I can't make it that day, but I can make it Saturday.

Because there's an SF workshop that weekend, I don't know anyone driving down. It's totally fine if you can only come Saturday and even if you're late because of Caltrain.

Conrad Irwin pointed me here - I'd be interested in volunteering, but I can only make the Saturday, not Friday.

    May 22, 2013

    • Richa A.

Great, thanks so much, Sam! Conrad let me know. I have other volunteers who can't make Friday night, so I'm working on lining up others to help on Friday.

We'll be using Bridge Troll, a RailsBridge project, to help Richa and I organize this workshop. If you've never used it before, don't worry. Instructions will head your way this evening!

Where should I find Bridge Troll instructions?
