Duration : 10:00 am - 6 pm (one hour lunch break)

This is the pre-requisite class for TDD for Rails class. You will learn the fundamentals and some advanced concepts of TDD and how to apply them effectively. You will work in pairs on the exercises.

We will be using Ruby 1.9 with RSpec. Bring your own laptop installed with those software before the class. The material is based on the following books:

1. Test Driven Development by Example

2. The Art of Unit Testing with Examples in .NET

3. Growing Object Oriented Software Guided by Tests

4. xUnit Test Patterns

Who is it for?

You must already know basic Ruby. The concepts are independent of the language used. If you get the concepts you can apply them easily using Ruby or any other language.
