Google App Engine (GAE) enables you to build and host web apps on the same systems that power Google applications. Working with the skeletal application that he created for us in last month's meeting, Tony will show us:

1. A custom Flex Client SDK that uses HTTP and BlazeDS to communicate to my wrapper over GAE SDK allowing you to write client side GAE apps in ActionScript 3.0;
2. Working with Data on GAE is not like a RDBMS, learn about the datastore service and the JDO access;
3. How to use Task Queue when you want to use threads in long running tasks; and
4. Explain how he manages his Google App Engine addiction.

Tony will be demonstrating:

1. an AIR based tool I wrote that helps Flex developers copy their stuff up in a WAR file to be deployed on GAE;
2. how an application can write files to the cloud;
3. an AIR base admin tool allow developers and admin people; and
4. an alternative to google admin.
