Join the Simple Labs community for a breakfast event featuring Lara Schenck and Nate Cooper. We'll fill up our coffee cups, grab a bite, and have a group conversation focused on web development, building your own websites, and tips in crafting a career in web for creative professionals.

Lara will be teaching Website Bootcamp for Creative Professionals (http://www.eventbrite.com/e/website-bootcamp-for-creative-professionals-tickets-9361946835) a two hour class on web basics on Dec 17th. Attendees to this free breakfast will have the chance to sign up for that class at a discount.

Lara is a freelance web designer and developer, instructor, and fresh NYC transplant from Pittsburgh. She currently teaches the Front-end Web Development course at General Assembly and works part-time for the Institute of Play at Quest to Learn, a public middle/high school that is reinventing education through game-like learning. Nate Cooper is an Adjunct Faculty member at the School for Visual Arts. He is founder of Simple Labs, a boutique web and social consultancy with a focus on client education. Through his company he has provided corporate training seminars to TIME Inc, NBC Universal and GAP Inc. He’s a regular writer on the topic of entrepreneurship for Contently.com and his writing has appeared in Mashable. He has been blogging on natecooper.net (http://natecooper.net/) since 2005. He regularly teaches WordPress, social media and blogging both online and offline for Mediabistro, General Assembly, 3rdWard & Noble Desktop. Nate cofounded the Reboot Workshop in 2011.
