Let's Beat the heat, traffic, crowds, sand and sharks with a nice relaxing float down the Delaware River. Saturday is supposed to be upwards of 96 degrees. Bucks County River Country offers an early bird special for those who arrive before 10:30 AM ($26.00).

For those of you who have not previously tubed. This is a very easy experience. At this time of year the float is more like a lazy river with a few mild rapids. There is the infamous "Hot Dog Man" on the river where you can float up to and order a burger or a dog and they gladly accept wet money.

How it works: you park your car at Bucks County River Country ($6.00 fee). You pay, get your tube and are then taken by bus and dropped off at the edge of the river. There is a staircase leading to the water (no climbing) and you set your tube in the water, take a seat and Enjoy! You will eventually float back to your car.

There are changing stations and a hose to rinse off after the trip. If anyone is interest in going out to eat afterwards we can do so in New Hope. There are plenty of places to choose from.
