Constitution Marsh Paddle!!!

Happy day!! This is a great paddle, come join us!!! We will meet at noon-thirty to get us under the bridge for our tidal excursion.....bring lunch to eat at the waterfall.

This is a wonderful local place, Constitution Marsh near Cold Spring. We will paddle out to the waterfall for a late lunch, paddle back and good meal or drinks in Cold Spring. This trip is dictated by the tides, we have to be under a railroad bridge and back before the tide tells us NO.......so we will not wait, please be on time!!!

Kayak rentals are available from Hudson Valley Outfitters in Cold Spring. You must contact them on your own, I have never used them.

The beginning part of this adventure is on the Hudson, if the water is very choppy or it's raining, we will not go, and beginners, this may not be for you! It is a good distance, though not far, but you will need good upper body strength and endurance, especially if it isn't calm.

Put-in at the Cold Spring train station. Parking is free on the weekends. The launch is to the right of the parking lot, meet at the large grassy area. There are port-a-potties at the launch.

PFD MANDATORY. Bring lunch, camera, suntan lotion, hat, sunscreen, towel, change of clothes, bilge pump, perhaps bubbles and water toys :-)

If the weather is questionable I will post and email changes. Please send me your cell for changes, I will return with mine. I do NOT text, please do not text me. You will need to sign a liability waiver to participate. $2 Meetup fee unless it's your first event which is free. See you on the water!!! :-)
