Hi new member!

    Welcome to this great group, THE NIGHTOWLS!  I created this group with the intention of attracting positive, fun, joyful single people who want to meet like minded (AND DON'T WANT TO DRIVE TO Dallas for everything).   People that whine, complain and live in the past,  is not a match for this group.  A positive attitude is contageous and I want us to surround ourselves with that positive energy.

   I post a variety of activities.  Happy hours are fine, but there are many many other venues we enjoy as much including Six Flags outings to ride the rollercoasters, Pocket Theatre so we can throw popcorn at each other, dining out to unique mom and pop restaurants, wine tastings, taking the Dart so we can go to Deep Ellum Arts Festival, dance classes, walks at Arbor Hills on Saturday mornings.............well............its endless just check out our past meetups or go to the photo section!  

   There is a $5.00 registration fee and some of my meetups range around $3.00 to $5.00 to cover some basics.  I am about to launch our season tickets for the Meyerson, Opera, and Theatre plays/musicals.   This past year, a group of us had season tickets to these and it was the highlight of my year! 

   Along with fun stuff, I encourage everyone to join me in helping others.  I am in the process of making a list of referrals in our blog.  All of the self employed could use our help.  During Christmas, we collect lots of stuff to hand out to the homeless.  Another project of mine is to help the most neglected group of humans, the elderly.   We are all going there and its time to change the nursing homes who tragically neglect so many.  I hope to put together a caring committe for those of us who don't have family here in time of need.  In case of illness or a challenging time in our lives, we can help each other. 

   So, join us because I am sure that you have a gift you can share and you can contribute to the joy of this adventure in friendship.  There is nothing more important than good friends.   We can't count on our children (they are too busy) and we can't count on acquaintances or co-workers to be supportive so start making new friends!
