what we are doing

We’ll be carpooling up to New Plymouth to attend the WOMAD (World of Music and Dance) Festival (http://www.taft.co.nz/womad/womad-home.html) at the TBS Bowl of Brooklands. Once there, we will set up our tents around Martin’s gazebo. Then we’ll have the opportunity for enjoyable learning at:
• Music and Dance Performances
• Music and Dance Workshops with Performers
• Impromptu Drum Circles and Jam Sessions
• The Artist in Conversation Programme
• Cooking Sessions and the WOMAD Cook-Off
• The Human Library, where you can borrow a Human Book
And as we play, dance, learn, and listen, we may come up with mini-chalkles for each other. Matt and Martin hope to get a drum circle or two going….

It begins on Friday, 15 March. Gates Open at 9:00 am, and stage entertainment starts around 6:00 pm. Festivities end around 11:30 pm on Sunday, 17 March. Some of us will be heading up early on Friday to claim and set up our camping spot.
