I left the corporate world in 2006 to return to university full time to study marine biology. I gained a BSc and stuck around to complete an MSc and often regale friends and complete strangers at dinner parties with stories of how the kahawai (Arripis trutta) is genetically closely related to
only three other fish on the planet.

I have a passion for learning new things and love sharing my knowledge with others. I perform improv with the Wellington Improvisation Troupe. I returned to the corporate world on completing my MSc and now consider myself a gentleman scientist of the old school.

If you RSVP for a class and fail to show up, you will get a "no show". Three no shows means you will be removed from chalkle°. You may request to rejoin after six months.
If you cancel your RSVP:

• less than 3 days before = no refund
• after 7pm the night before = no refund and a "no show" will be recorded
