Sunset Hike

This is being offered by the MO Department of Conservation and I thought it would be a fun and different thing for us skeptics to do. We do have to make reservations so, if you are going to attend, please make your own reservation AND if it turns out you cannot make it, please contact the Department and let them know so they can open the slot up to someone else. My understanding is that this event is rain or shine so dress appropriately. We can always go grab a drink at Exit 6 afterwards to warm up/dry off. :) If anyone wants to carpool, we can meet at Exit 6 and consolidate. Post a reply if you want to carpool.

Reservation details are below.

I may or may not be going depending on how I'm feeling with this sinus infection.

For those joining the sunset hike on the 15th, here is some additional information from the Dept of Natural Resources: We will meet behind the Administration building in Busch Wildlife at 6pm. The program will begin there and last about 20 minutes then we will drive to a remote parking lot to begin the hike. We will stop at a field to watch the mating rituals of the birds for 20-30 minutes then return to our cars. Total hike is about 3 miles. Dress for the weather!

Also, if you plan to go, you must make a reservation. If you haven't done so yet, call the number in the event details the morning of the 15th.

Some folks have indicated they would like to carpool from Exit 6. If you can carpool, please post here or go to our Facebook page and post a comment on my post (similar to this one) there. I will try to get everyone connected.

Hi Jill! Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to schedule another one. Something science-based like an owl prowl or something. :)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
