Seven speakers, including... Keynote speaker Nate Phelps: Nate Phelps is the son of pastor Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church, based in Topeka, Kansas. The WBC has been called "The Most Hated Family in America" and is infamous for their "God Hates Fags" campaigns and picketing soldiers' funerals. Earlier this year, Fred Phelps won a Supreme Court ruling giving him and his family legal permission to picket funerals. Nate Phelps, now in his 50s, left home at age 18, and is now a speaker on gay rights and atheism. He lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The conference includes 7 speakers, scheduled from 6-9 PM on Friday and continuing from 10-3 PM on Saturday:

• Dr. Darrel Ray, organizational psychologist and author of "The God Virus"

• Dave Rosman, Missourian columnist and author of "A Christian Nation?"

• Brandon Christen, former Church of Christ preacher, turned atheist activist

• Annie Callicotte, President of the Secular Student Alliance at UCM - James Pflug, evolutionary biologist & entomologist

• Seth Kurtenbach, philosophy PhD student at Mizzou. Seth is growing a mighty beard. Admission is FREE but seating is limited to 296.

Maximum occupancy will be strictly enforced due to Mizzou's fire code, so please arrive EARLY for a seat.
