Announcing a new Meetup for The St. Louis Skeptics Meetup!

What: Workshop: Divination with Pendulums and Dowsing Rods

When: Saturday, February 20,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $5.00 per person

Buder Library
4401 Hampton Ave
St. Louis , MO 63109

Join the Fringe Science Investigations Group of the St. Louis Skeptical Society for our first workshop: Divination with Dowsing Rods and Pendulums!

In this workshop, each person will make their own pendulum and pair of dowsing rods. You?ll learn a little bit about the history of dowsing, participate directly in experiments, and come away with firsthand experience of the ideomotor effect and the ability to demonstrate this effect to others. After this workshop you?ll be equipped with the knowledge and tools to think critically about this art of divination.
The suggested donation for this event is $5 per person, to help offset materials costs, fund future events and support the St. Louis Skeptical Society. This is an all-ages event, but due to the workshop length, we recommend it for children ages 8 and up.

Suggested donation for this event is $5 per person. We are meeting in the library and CANNOT take funds from you on library property ? library policy is: ?In keeping with Board policy that all meetings must be open to the public, no monies may be exchanged on library premises. Nothing may be sold or exchanged to raise money. Organizational dues, tuition, supply costs, etc., must be collected elsewhere.?

Given that we can?t exchange money on the day of event, I?d appreciate it if you?d throw us your donations via Paypal.

Space for this event at the library is limited, so the event will be capped at 50 people. If you don't make the initial 50, put yourself on the waiting list. If there seems like there is enough interest, we will hold this workshop twice.
