Re: [skeptics-137] For God Damn Skeptics - Did Bush Sr. said it or not about atheists?

It is a nation under one god for "them," but the question is which beanie is their concept of god wearing for which magical thinking whack job religious group.

My Spiritual Path is about the Goddess, called "The Old Religion," which predates christianity by several thousands years.  This Spiritual Path has also been called Mother Nature, Gaia, or whatever other earth worship name you want to call Mother Earth (www.wicca.com/celtic/wicca/wicca.htm).

Don't need a jealous, warlike, hypocritical god concept in my life for a role model.  Believe in individuality, and being responsible for my behavior, and actions.

It's a free country, and people can believe what they want.  But they have no right to invade my time and space to preach their crap to me, and I am not going to waste my time or energy on their magical thinking (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI6NLMA6bII).

Leaving this group, cause i'm not going to waste my time playing this, "He said, She said" nonsense.

Am an individual, know what I'm about, my inner-self is in balance, and no interest in changing anyone.  If people want to be followers, screw them.

Hey, peeps... Little did you know but there is some interesting controversy about validity of this quote... Let's see if we can settle it once and for all?

I have gone to snopes.com and also came across the site of the person who reported this quote plus a letter of response from Bush Sr.'s legal council in a roundabout way not confirming or denying this quote - basically, legalese "pleading the fifth"

"I don't know that atheists should be regarded as citizens, nor should they be regarded as patriotic.  This is one nation under God."
