Skillhack #4: Building Useful Tools - June 9

Thanks to all who attended Skillhack #3, what an awesome event!

If you missed it, you missed out - this was a great gig with a lot of doing. We kicked off the day with two useful breakouts:

• Business: Your Customer Canvas, with Troy G.
  Participants were introduced to the Lean Launch Canvas and started by pitching their problem/solution; then really digging in to understand customers, and how to focus on solving their pain. Everyone came away with a better knowledge of their offering and a simple canvas to begin experimenting.

• Development and Design: Your Lead Capture Page, with Seth J.
  Participants got a basic code packet and were walked through setup and essential design needed to start capturing leads.

• Skillhacking.
  The rest of the day was spent pairing off to skillhack in 30 minute sprints.

9:00 to 9:30: Arrive, eat healthy snacks, grab your seat

We kickoff at 9:30 sharp!

We will be focusing on:

• Dev and Design: Responsive Web Design.
  Adapting to the user’s needs by addressing the ever-changing landscape of devices, browsers, screen sizes and orientations by creating flexible, fluid and adaptive Web sites.

• Business: Incorporating for startups.
  Designing your company to legally "fail safely" is essential to protecting your asetts. Making sure if one of your projects fails it wont affect the rest of your life.

• More Skillhacking!
  Several, cool ideas are brewing here -- come be a part of them and add your own to the mix.

• Improved Skillcards to help you better set aside time to Skillhack with other attendees.
