This year we've decided to do something a little different with Skunkworks!
We're running it as an open 'connectathon' or 'hackathon' which means that we are bringing together as many open source products, open APIs, open data, apps, frameworks, and services as possible. In the 2 days participants will 'hack' (responsibly :-) ) some interop between these separate systems, partly for fun, but also to make great connections with other companies allowing them to improve markets share and product features.
We will be providing workspace (tables and chairs), WiFi and wired internet, and, of course, excellent Tank (http://www.tankcoffee.com/) coffee.
Participants can expect to have great fun, learn a lot about real time health interoperability, and improve their products!
Come and join us and Code4Health (https://code-4-health.org/) at EHI Live 2015 to change the way we think about interoperability in healthcare
Who should attend?
• App developers, SMEs, and other Health IT vendors, seeking to interoperate with Health IT systems and NHS Spine services (yes we are going to have a team from HSCIC Spine there!).
• Large companies with existing APIs, wanting to interoperate with other vendors in the market for bigger market share and more comprehensive products
• Large companies without existing APIs who want to learn what they should develop to be competitive in the service-oriented architecture of the future.
• People who want to get completely covered in Code for 2 days and are happy to leave Sales pitch at home.
• People who like challenging themselves and their products to be even better.
• Health Care professionals wanting to learn more about hands-on real life interoperability
How do I attend?
The Skunkworks Connectathon is free to attend. You need to bring at least a few flexible and capable members of your technical team, to work on the code that will produce the interoperability. Sign up at EHI Live's registration page (http://www.ehilive.co.uk/forms/visitor-registration/) to get an admission pass.
Once you've done this, sign up for Meetup and click Yes to "Are you going?" on the event page - this will help us get an idea of numbers. https://www.meetup.com/Integrating-the-Open-Enterprise/events/222935805/
