Welcome to the Salt Lake City Coffee and Tea.  

Here is a letter that was drafted on behalf of the members of this group.  We would appreciate it, if you could read through it and then decide if this is the right group for you. 

This is a socially interactive group.  It is up to you to socialize and to introduce yourself to the others in the group. It is up to you to seek out the types of conversations you are interested in.  It is up to you to move around the group and socialize with anyone you wish to.   It is also up to you to censor your conversations when speaking.  It is up to you to act appropriately.  If anyone has a problem with a member acting inappropriately please let them know you do not appreciate it and if it continues please let the organizers know and they will be removed from the group.  

This is not group therapy, so if you have issues going on in life, please leave them at home   Remember TMI (too much information) over drinks is to much for people who don't know you. 

If you meet some one you want to hang out with on your own.  Great, there is a way you can email that member through meet up. Give them your phone number and communicate directly with them.  I would like people to use this group to make new friends and get out and do what you are interested in.  If the person is not interested, please respect their wishes.  But, this is not Match, or eHarmony.  If you meet someone you like, great.  But, do not use this site as your free online dating service.   Enough said.

We do not want this to be a socially correct, politically correct, only singles, only married, only young, only old, only, only, only…. This is a GROUP and everyone is welcome and everyone is wanted.  We would like this to be a group for free thinking and interesting people with free and interesting things to say.  If you are sensitive, not open and get offended easily, this might not be the group for you.  

We would like to ask people to clean up after themselves and to put their dishes in the receptacles that the venue has provided. . 

There are many wonderful places to have a cuppa in SLC.
