About Pink Floyd Animals

Animals is Pink Floyd's 10th Studio Album, released in 1977, loosely based on George Orwell's political fable Animal Farm, its lyrics described various classes in society as different kinds of animals; the combative dogs, despotic ruthless pigs, and the "mindless and unquestioning herd" of sheep.

The famous album cover is of the Battersea Power Station in Battersea, UK in southwest London. The inflated pig balloon over the power station is now an iconic image representing a critique of capitalism. Jim Hartley and Theron Kabrich (http://www.sfae.com/index.php?pg=110005) of the SFAE staff will be on-hand to chat with you about this exhibit
