Anyone know of a CMS that has fine-grained license control over content access?
For instance, say I have a desktop application but I want to "cloudify" its file storage, then control application licensing on the back-end/storage side by controlling access to the data.
The licensing has to be flexible. Someone may buy a month of access, someone else may buy the ability to create 10 new files (but access all their files, including older ones). Or someone may just want to buy the ability to create one new file.
I'd be amazed if there weren't several dozen systems already out there that do this, but I don't know what this process is called. License-based content-management access? I get all sorts of google results when I search for this.
