Reminder: Call For Speakers Opens 3/31
Call for Speakers opens 3/31, and only remains open for two weeks. Polish up those abstracts, encourage your peers, and if you need anything, come to the Google Hangout , held every Wednesday - details in the sidebar. We're here to help you with everything from potential topics to perfecting your abstract and everything in between!
What are we Looking For?
We are Summer Camp for Geeks. That means we embrace a polyglot program (any-language, any platfom) that appeals to the inner geek in you. Like you, we love technology, and we know that great tech is not limited to just one language, or even just one platform, or even just software. Anything tech that gets that awakens the maker spirit inside you - that's what we're looking for.

Resources for Speakers
We know. If you're not a speaker, submitting can be intimidating. But we care what you have to say, and we want you to come share with your fellow geeks. We've put together a couple resources to get you off the ground.
- Our weekly Google Hangout. What do we do? The organizers of That Conference set aside an hour a week to answer your questions. Don't know where to start. Shoot, come ask us? No need to feel bashful. This is, after all, camp.
- Jen Myers, a web developer/deisigner offers office hours to help presenters get off the ground through mentoring beginning presenters. Look her up at JenMyers.net and @antiheroine on twitter
- Russ Unger, That Conference speaking alum and author, created a body of work geared around helping presenters: UserGlue.com, Speaker Camp, and Designing the Conversation.
- We have some great guidance up at ThatConference.com in the Call for Speakers section, so check that out
How and Where Do I Submit?
Starting on March 31, and for two weeks thereafter, you will be able to log in and submit your abstracts directly to ThatConference.com
. Have a version of your abstract ready to paste in, as well as advice as to the level of the talk (beginner, advanced, expert), and tags to help people find your topic when they're setting up their schedule.
Keep up with us in the social media!
