Details
Raspberry Pi Geeks - Durham is back! This is a continuation of the original Raspberry Pi Geeks group started by Joe last year. Joe has decided to relocate the meetup to Splat Space and we are glad to open up the space to his group.

Using a Motion Sensor with a Raspberry Pi
This month, join us for a workshop to get some hands-on with a Raspberry Pi and a simple but useful circuit.
We'll be working through some lessons provided by the Adafruit Learning System. We'll plug in the common motion sensors that turn on the flood lights when you walk up to a house. For software, we'll start with pre-written program to turn on an LED when the circuit detects motion which we can then see what tweaks we can make and see wh
We'll have some components on hand, and you can pair up with others for a little peer-learning if you don't have anything, but bring your Raspi, a monitor, a solderless breadboard, and some jumper wires if you can.
These lessons can easily be done on your own but who says you have to. Maybe you have questions, need a little motivational boost from others, or just want to make it social for the fun of it, join us for a little peer learning.
