Raspberry Pi Geeks - Durham - Photo/Video with Pi Camera

Details

Raspberry Pi Geeks - Durham is back! This is a continuation of the original Raspberry Pi Geeks group started by Joe last year. Joe has decided to relocate the meetup to Splat Space and we are glad to open up the space to his group.

---

This month we'll be using the raspi camera module to take still shots and video with the raspberry pi. This event is really part 2 of 2. We can take the setup and code from last month to get the raspberry pi to take photos and/or video when the PIR sensor detects motion. We'll be following some instructions found on http://raspberrypi.org

This is another hands-on peer-learning workshop. Partly out of necessity since we won't have enough equipment on hand for everyone. But even if we did have enough, we'd lie to get folks participating together. Please bring your pi, and camera if you have them. We have a few monitors with DVI connectors, so if you can't bring a monitor, pick up a DVI to HDMI adapter (they have them at Intrex) and you might be able to use one of our monitors, but it's first come first serve.

Come join us for a little social hacking. It's surprising how chatty some of you bit-heads and engineering types can get. :)
