Maths Study Group
Splat Space - Durham's Hackerspace (map)
A study group for people studying maths! Mainly a bunch of auto-didacts who are teaching themselves Algebra, Calculus, Linear Algebra or what-have-you, or folks brushing up before returning to school or whatever. Expect a few people who are studying maths because of a specific interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence among other things.

That's entirely up to you. This is all very free-form and unstructured. So whatever book(s), pencil(s), paper, calculating devices (abacus, laptop, whatever) that you feel you need. :-)

I'll be there by either by bus or by car. I'll bring some diff. eq. to work on and maybe an abacus or slide rule. I wouldn't mind programming my calc. and/or fooling around with Maple. Too much to play with and too little time. How late does this go to?

There's not really a set end time, but I'll be there probably until at least 9:00 or so. Unfortunately I'm not sure I remembered to bring the book I meant to work through, so I'm not even sure what I'll be working on tonight. :-)
